Gotcha. I love a good trap. But it took a couple posts to snag one.

I'm putting down a Forum I have never been to. You're putting down a kit you have no experience with.

He'* bought it already. It'* in his posession, and he'* going to use it. Cut the guy some slack. Repeating yourselves over and over like a flock of flightless birds isn't going to change anything at this point.

NO more negative in this topic. Have some respect for a guy that'* already purchased what you see, and give him some ADVICE on installation, care and feeding, where to mount, how to keep cool, what to wire, etc.

Got it?

Kits change so often, very few people have experience with "that" kit. But, people on HIDplanet, ClubRSX, have hat LOTS of experience with chinese made, or even no country of origin noted, kits. The majority of them aren't very good.

Problem is, I can show you another kit that has a different name brand, and you'll never know if, internally, it'* the same parts, or something different. So, i'm pretty sure that someone, has the same internals (in the ballasts) with a different label on them.

That'* a "Genesis" ballast. "German engineered." Now, the seller is where I got my McCulloch parts from, no issues. But, I do have an issue with the marketing. People think that it'* a german made ballast, it'* not. Says nowhere on it "made in germany", or "manufaacturk en deutschwhatever". Looks the same as the ones in the pic in this thread, tho. Same parts? Maybe. So are the other ones "german engineered" too? Maybe they're all made in taiwan? Subcontracted to the Congo? Parts source from the former soviet union? It'* anyone'* guess.

Thanks for deleting my post that views my opinion. If my comments are just going to be deleted I'm leaving the forums. Just a word of advice do your research and don't trust the admins of this site apparently because they will just edit out comments that are relevant to the topic. Go to a deticated forum that deals with the items in question such as hidplanet well im sure this will be deleted too and I bid you all farewell.

No, it won't be deleted, Plurr. Your last reply was because it specifically violated my call to lose the negativity. It'* already been stated numerous times over and over and over. Now let'* do what we can to HELP the topic author with the install of the kit he ALREADY OWNS.

I was called into this topic by members to help tone it down and lose the negativity. I have no personal interest in HID'* whatsoever.

I'm doing my job here as I was REQUESTED to.

How do you plan to mount the ballasts?

Bill, please respect the fact that all of us are coming from different viwepoints here. I, along with others, are trying to warn someone about a potential safety hazard they are adding to their car. I think all of us have said this about a thousand times: Previous experience from other people with kits of the same origin suggest there is the POTENTIAL for issues because of this products MANUFACTURING LOCATION.

How can you compare a forum, which is widely acknowledged as having excellent advice and knowledge to a kit which origin has been known to have issues? The fact of the matter is that overall, these cheap kits do have a rap sheet, and not a good one.

We can sit and discuss the technicality all day long, which is what you are trying to drive home. I understand that. The fact that we don't have experience with this kit doesn't prevent me from posting a warning because of others experiences with said kits from the same origin of manufacturer. I'm well aware the Chinese can make a good product, but my knowledge of HID kits tells me that even China, even with their 7 year old laborers, is skimping on quality here. Why is it so bad to give someone a heads up that they might want to reconsider their purchase? If quality is good than why aren't the manufacturers lining up to have their HID stuff made in China?

This is like tires. You don't want to go cheap.

Why is it, everytime Willwren has to use the authority he was asked and guided to use, people jump his case? The guy has already bought it, it is too late to hear "don't buy this alleged piece of crap". You do not always get what you pay for, sometimes you get a good deal. Why don't we wait to hear how the buyer likes his purchase, huh?

I once got bad electronics from Japan, so don't buy your kit from Japan either. And this one time my MADE IN THE USA jeans got a hole in the knee, so their HID kits suck too.

Chris, why don't you address your CONSTRUCTIVE comments to the topic author?

I'm here because I was called in by concerned members. So I came in the room. Here I am. But I'm not the topic author.

I believe if you go back a few posts, you'll find the name of the topic author, and you can give him CONSTRUCTIVE advice, and installation tips and hints.

Thank you, John. I'm the bad guy because I was asked to do my job, of course. Typical.

he now OWNS these light so do put them down,. you have stated you opinion so leave it at that, theres no need for arguments. the way your making it seam is that he should throw away these lights and the money he spent for them and go out an spend hunders more to gets something better, seams to me if you helped him with install advise that he might atleast get "a year" out of his money instead of nothing!
