what does blocking the body mean?

Sanding it to remove any imperfections in the initial coat of primer and body filler before putting on the paint.

what Grimm said was correct, it sanding the primer or filler with a Block sander which is basicaly just a sander thats good and flat (like a block) there is also a board sander which is the same thing only longer to spread the area of contack to help keep the surface as smooth and waveless as possible. most of the sanding ill be doing is with a Board sander, with the block being used on some od the areas with the most conture

haha, no just used replacment parts over the years, All before i owned the car

started the long sanding process... start with 320... then 400 500 600. :(

IS this the part that takes several days?

if i had a full day to work on it, i could get it all done in one. but i have to do customer cars too, so it will take me a few days :(
