With that being said, while the upper intake is removed, it would be wise to replace the aforementioned upper intake, so he wouldn't have to remove it again. I do not think it would have a nylon upper intake gasket, unless I'm mistaken.

Sorry if I wasn't clear, I was not saying it has a nylon upper intake gasket, I am talking about the intake itself, it should be a cast aluminum intake, like the one I attached a pic of, so I don't know why he'd want to replace an aluminum upper intake, there should be no problems with it since it should be aluminum.

I'm not doing this job myself. I'm having a shop do it. I was just worried that once I had my LIM fixed, that I would then need my UIM also replaced.
