So should I drop the money for a new maf or what? I'm getting a lot if different direction here. Yes it does take 10 min to get the car to run but the cat doesn't glow red and pulling the manifold had no effect

You removed the converter pipe from the manifold next to the firewall under the car correct ?
And with wide open exhaust it can the same correct?

No better I think it'* not getting enough fuel, if I choke the motor with my hand it runs great

Have you sprayed carb cleaner around the engine, especially where the upper plenum/SC'er and lower intake joint is, and see if there is a change in idle.....have seen that gasket crack.....

I had a clogged converter give me the same symptoms of no power plus my temp was increased by at least 10 degrees. I also had a lean condition show up once I gutted the cat and it turned out to be a vacuum leak where the 2 vacuum lines go into the throttle body. Spraying the carb cleaner showed me where the leak was right away.
