If it'* a blower motor, typically they can typically start working again when they receive a sharp and direct whack (again, handle of sturdy screwdriver type of force). Also, the blower should be receiving full charging system voltage at highest speed. If it'* acting up, and you have full voltage at the blower motor connector, it'* the blower motor most likely.
The G101 ground at the right front of the engine compartment is where to start. Make sure it'* in good order and clean and tight. Here'* the
diagram. The blower is in the upper left part of the diagram.
One thing I would do, is drop the hush panel on the passenger side(under the dash), to get to the blower motor...
As previously suggested, if the blower does not run when commanded on, tap the motor housing with the handle of a screwdriver to see if it will run....if it does, you need a motor....
Next, disconnect the two wire harness to the motor.....look at the harness connector and the motor connector, for burnt contacts or melted plastic......
If ok, attach a test light, not a dvm, to the harness connnector....ignition on(engine not running), turn HVAC system on, blower on low.....light should be dim....it should get progressively brighter as you increase speed, and should be on full brightness on Hi....If this does not happen, then the possibilities are the blower relay, the hi speed relay, or the resistor block......
rjolly87 and then TechII suggested that if I gave it a "whack" with the end of a screwdriver and it restarted, it was the motor. And it did and it was, so thanks guys!
