'03 Buick Century - Electrical Problem?
I'm hoping for some help, I'm stuck. When I got the vehicle a couple years ago it had an aftermarket remote starter already installed. That may or may not have anything to do with my issue, just an FYI. Last month, when it was cold, I used the remote starter, waited a bit then went to the vehicle. It was not started, I put the key in ignition and could hear the starter solenoid clicking, but no start. At that time I could hear the fuel pump prime when the turning key to on position, all dash lights and headlights were fine. The next week, I tried again, with key in on position I could hear the fuel pump prime sporadically and dash lights and "ding ding" sound coming on and off, could still hear starter solenoid when turning key. Week after that when turning key to on position, I do not hear the fuel pump prime, all dash lights are fine, and now no starter solenoid.
What I've done so far:
checked battery at advance - tested fine but it'* old
checked starter at advance - tested fine
checked fuses and swapped relays
checked ground on starter and body
replaced ignition switch
unhooked wires from remote starter with and without new ignition switch
can turn key to on and jump starter, physically turns over but no start
tried jumper cables
reset security lockout (at least I think, security light does not blink or stay on when turning key)
I'm no mechanic by far, but have a haynes manual and tools
... any help would be appreciated, I live far from the nearest GM dealer.

Agree with Mike, check for power at the purple wire going to the "*" terminal, of the starter solenoid, with the key in the crank position......if no power, apply ebrake, and try to start in Neutral.......if still no power, try swapping a relay with the crank relay......
Also, with the key in the "on" position(don't crank), does the SECURITY light go out after 3-5 seconds....

Voltage at solenoid good. Tried starting in neutral, no luck. Swapped relays, still no start. I'll have to check the security light again, owner'* manual said it would be blinking if it was a security lock out. I reset the security lockout previously thinking it might be that (left key in on position 10 minutes until it "dings" and resets).
