Hopefully this is the conclusion of the HUD problems. After three days of repair I got the car back this morning. They said that Pontiac tech support suggested tightening a tension bar under the dash and adding some insulation. It appears that this has indeed fixed the problem. I want to thank you all who have responded to this problem, your comments gave me some nice ammunition to use while dealing with this situation. They also noticed that the drivers side window doesnt seem to be fully into its track at the back of the door. If you have a GXP you should check yours to make sure that you dont have this same problem, as they checked the cars on the lot and all of them have this same problem. Just a heads up, Ill make a more noticible post for people who arent reading this thread.

What is the Nature
of your concern? : Vehicle Concern

Message : I am an Adminstrator at
www.bonnevilleclub.com and I have
a member with what I consider a
serious quality issue on his 2004
GXP. There is an active topic on our
forum regarding this issue:

Complaint #1-xxx
Customer:
Brett Haldy
xxx home
xxx cell- best phone
number
xxx@chartermi.net

Topic:
http://www.bonnevilleclub.com/foru
m/viewtopic.php?t=23396

My concern is that this seems to be
an isolated case, yet the customer
was offered a trade for unrelated
services for his inconvenience, with
no resolution offered for the actual
problem.

We have alot of new GXP owners or
potential owners who are carefully
watching this topic for resolution.

Thank you,
Bill Wren

I'll be damned... Mine does the exact same thing and being a dipshit i just figured it was mine to eat. It sort of shimmies... vibrates. Another thing for the dealer to fix. Thanks guys. I have had other problems too. I leaned the pass seat all the way back and it only came back up about an inch at a time. I am also having intermittant ac problems. If the HUD is a safety item doesn't that make a lemon law item? Meaning they have 3 shots to get it fixed?

Buzz, print this entire topic (both pages) and take it to your dealer. I think this was an isolated case of a dealership service department getting frustrated. Your dealership will be able to nail it on the first try
