Last week I noticed every time I start my driver heated seat it goes on for less than 5 minutes then it shuts off, before it used to stay on forever.

This morning it was a little cold outside, so I push the button and nothing happened. I pushed it like ten times and still no HI or LO light coming on. I pull over to record it so I can show it to the dealer when I go in. I park on the side and bang! It works...


But only for few seconds then it shuts off, any idea why?

check the wiring.

it heats up no problem though

it'* either the switch or is the module under the seat. if the module trips itself then it will shut that light off like it'* a blown element

to see if it'* the switch try this.
remove the switch panel and switch the passenger and drivers wires between the switches. if it still does the same thing to the opposing seat then it'* the switch if not then it'* the module

good idea. I'll try that tonight if not then its going into the dealer on monday

You can also swap the driver and passenger control modules. That'* how I figured I had a bad module.
The module is under the front of the seat, and only has only two screws. One screw can be a little tough to get to.
