I've had a factory Bonneville stereo on my hands for quite a while, model # 25736703, that was inteded for my '86 Fiero GT and I have some questions:

1. Will it actually work in other cars, like a Fiero, assuming I wire it correctly or is it one of the stereos that is "mated" to Bonnevilles only or even a specific VIN?

2. How does it compare to this JVC KD-LH1000? http://www.jvc.com/product.jsp?model...2&archive=true

3. How much is this Bonneville stereo worth? I might sell it and I don't want to get ripped off. It'* in mint condition, 100% working, and in plastic since it was pulled from the Bonneville.

1....what year is the Sterio from.....there were a few designs

2....a aftermarket HU will be better than a factory HU.....but the Bonne had quite a good punch even for the stock system

3.....depending on the year and if its a CD or not will determine the $$$

It depends if it has the 7 band eq also

Manufactured in 2001 so it may be 2001 or 2002 model year? Will be direct plug in for at least the 00-02 model years, maybe more. Has EQ, don't know many bands. I may still have the no-solder wiring adapter to use with these older stereo plugs (like my Fiero has):


Model is 25736703, retail looks like $370, backwards compatible with 09394652, 16241482, 25731291, 09391822, 25721600. Stereo looks like this:


Includes slot loading CD, without cassette, has Radio Data System including station names etc., traffic report button, CD/AUX button so probably CD changer control?, Speed Controlled Volume, automatic scanning and programming of radio presets, automatic scanning for music type, dunno what else.

If u take a look at similar items on ebay like that..most ask 100+ for that unit. You would probably sell it fairly quick.
