Do these 6x9 brackets work for our cars?

Ugh, now that I have the spacer brackets, I discover my Boston CX9^3 speakers are slightly larger than the opening in the brackets. Bottom line: They don't fit. I'll have to modify (hack) the bracket to get them to fit. I've read that other people had to do this. I'm just very unhappy about having to hack up these brackets right after getting them. Grrrrrr.
