So neither of these will work in our cars huh? the second link would be sweet cause they light up white instead of red. but i havent heard of anybody here successfully getting by with using these LED bulbs? :(

na, ours "twist" and those just plug striaght in, I know they'll fit tha front parking lights on 96 and up but since they're red it would be a big no-no with Mista Po-Po ya know!

Well, the first link is to a red bulb (despite their botched description that talks about a "white" light); the second link is to a white bulb.

Also, the parking lights would be dual-filament/dual-circuit, right? These things look like single-circuit bulbs; e.g. turn signal or backup lamps, a **56 part number instead of a **57.

Aside from that, I'd like to see photos comparing the light output of those things with the original incandescent bulbs. The incandescents put a lot more light out the sides than LEDs do, and it'* the side light that the reflector catches in order to fill the whole lens with light. The LEDs will give you a hotspot in the middle and not much around the sides.
