1999 bonneville SE head unit? *NEWBIE* - GM Forum - Buick, Cadillac, Chev, Olds, GMC & Pontiac chat

Audio (and aftermarket electronics) This is your place for alarms, remote starters, to brag about your system, exaggerate your db levels, or simply ask questions for stock or aftermarket audio. No Flames! (except from roasted amps)

whether or not you need an amp, will depend on the output of the deck you put in. My JVC is 20X4, which is enough to power the factory speakers.

Any decent headunit with a good amount of power should be able to power the speakers unless you went with retardedly power speakers in which case youd need an amp...

but for your drooling pleasure im showing you something too look into with a new headunit...
Humount Bonneville SSEi *and others* Radio Mounts

$65.00 + shipping is not a bad price for something custom and unique like this, couple people on the various forums have discussed them and i thought you might be interested

I have upgraded the rear speakers to clarion 6x9'* out of a nissan and I am a big fan of JVC just picked one up for 110 HD radio 50 x4 with aux input in the fron for my Ipod and it really sounds great even with having the original door speakers

Yeah, I misquoted my JVC, it is 50X4, not 20X4.
