Let us know if the new cable works. I've always wondered if you could repair one of those regulators. I tried to re-use the old cable once...and failed miserably.

My cable frayed and broke...we are going to try a motorcycle cable on it which is a lot stronger. But my dad won't be able to help me with it until the weekend. 3 hours of time is nothing compared to the price they want for that new regulator...mr. goodwrench is making sure he'* making his money these days :?

See my previous post re .www.gmpartsdirect.com.. That is the only "deal" that I have found on the regulators....and the're still not cheap. The last one I bought was about $160 USD plus shipping for a total of about $180. Still a lot less than retail at a dealer...for the exact same GM part.
