My #6 wire was laying on the O2 sensor wire next to the sensor, so I removed and took a ride. Problem still there. Would this have caused a problem, like possibly bad plug now?

That shouldn't effect the plug. What it does is interfere with the singles from the O2 sensor. This then effects how the engine runs.

Have you checked your crankshaft position sensor?

Camshaft Position Sensor A Damaged or faulty camshaft position sensor will transmit incorrect ignition and fuel delivery information.

Now I'm laughing. Ya, I think just about everyone has had that happen. Many many years ago I was setting the timing on a HEI engine. I touched the timing light to a plug wire, and it sparked in to my hand. I pulled back and got the timing light in the face. I never did anything like that again. And I'll bet you never do as well.

I wasnt sure cause I was trying to check coils with car off and wasnt getn anything. My meter does not have the option of changing the resistance settings. It may be more for just checkin continuity. So I thought Id try with car on and ouch!

The ECT can cause the car to miss as well. That was the first code my car put up.
