from what in seem at intense and what Boosty tells me... if you have the right tools... and have two people.. should only take a day or maybe a weekend.

you can drop the sub frame and drop it from the bottom.. but thats only if yo have a life 
ill be pulling the whole motor and all, and also be rebuilding the motor somewhat...

yea when you do that take some pictures. You guys live in the rochester area correct? When i go to do the tranny maybe i will head out that way, it is only about 7 hours from here.

1st startup, you have no R or D. But if you put it in 1st, it goes in and you can move forward? Then you can put it in R and you go R correct?
If this is the case, you have the same symptoms I have. I thought it had something to do with the work I did to my tranny this past summer. But since I did a COMPLETE trans and TC flush, I may be experiencing "Morning Sickness" as it was put.
Haven't done anything with it yet, just waiting for it to blow up

have you checked your motor/tranny mounts? I had an issue with mine where I would have to go down to 2 or 1, then a bang as it went into gear, then all gears were back. Turned out to be my front tranny mount I think.
