I thought the 4T65E is the factory application ONLY on the supercharged 3.8L (L67) for all the cars (Bonne, Lesabre, and Olds88 /Regency) and the 4T60E is the factory application on all the others 3.8L ( L36) and 3.1L ( L82) ???
4T60E 92-96 SE, SLE, SSE
4T60E (HD) 92-96 SSEi

4T65E 97 and up SE, SLE, SSE
4T65E (HD) 97 and up SSEi

He posted in another thread that he reset it by disconnecting the battery. I'd still do some maintenance on that EGR (having suffered from this myself in the past), and yes, do a tranny flush. Especially with the mods you have planned.

Thanks for your help, guys. I figured it out. All this time I had assumed I was leaking oil, but was not losing any, and, well, the other day I noticed the fluid was reddish. I checked the tranny fluid (I had just a couple weeks ago, and was fine) and was a couple quarts low!! I'll be fixing that soon... Everything runs good now...
