Default Tell me my tranny'* okay...Please??

Every time I turn left, I get a jerky motion, and I can hear the engine go up and down, like the tranny'* slipping, then engaging, then slipping, then engaging. It ONLY happens when I turn left and accelerate at the same time. I know my ball joint is loose, which I'm having fixed soon. Any ideas?? (Tranny fluch is next, BTW.)

I had questions of my tranny slipping. Will told me to get a scantool, and that'* the best way to find out. That'* my .02

Hope yours is okay! :? To me it sounds like something else. When I turn left I get a semi-grinding noise and rubbing noise or something, but I'm sure it'* my bearings, which have been sketchy for a while now. Just don't have the cash to fix it yet. :(

Yes I get vibrating and banging around on my front end now because i caught air and the front mount slipped along with my brain.

Look into your rear lower bone (transaxle mount) and yes definitely take it in and pull some codes.

A similar car (94 GTP) has an invisible code that is thrown and it is also transaxle related. It seems they happen more often with the transaxles than the rest of the car.

One thing I noticed this morning, it only does it when it'* hot. Any ideas, please?? I don't have access to a scantool, and definitely can't afford the $50 a mechanic charges just to do it.

I could guess all day long an argue with myself about each hypothesis ..But alas it would lead nowhere...I can however suggest (if possible) going to a AutoZone or other do it yourself place can usually do a scan for free. Call around.

Also if you are really having transaxle problems they can usually last longer if you baby the car and flush the transaxle often.
