I found this attached to my trans pan magnet when I was changing my filter. I was as amazed as you all are. SO good thing it didnt mess anything up. I belive I am the first to do a filter and fluid change so I dont know where this came from, or how it got down in the pan..... anyone have a guess?

Someone has been in there before. Now the question could be posed.. did someone rebuild part or all of the transmission in the past or did the magnet merely pick this up or someone laid this in the pan.

A made up part. I don't know what it is. Have you figured out what it is yet?

It honestly does look like a grinding bit for a dremel or similar rotary tool.
