This one has me, and Pep Boys, stumped. I have a 1999 Bonneville SLE, VIN K, 154,000 miles. Car has, until recently, started and run flawlessly. About a week ago, car started and stalled within 15 seconds. Each attempt to restart would kick over, but then stall immediately. The chime would ding 4 times each time it stalled.
First check I did was check the schrader valve for fuel pressure, just would get a trickle. I then installed a new fuel pressure regulator and MAP sensor, no difference. Towed to Pep Boys. They told me I needed a new fuel pump (sounded logical) so they installed a new pump, sending unit and fuel filter. Picked up the vechile, it started and ran flawlessly for two days (about 150 miles). Security light seems to function normally. Stays off beyond ignition (doesn't flash or stay on steady).
On day three, started the vehicle, ran for 10-15 seconds and stalled out again. Back to same no start conditions exactly as they were prior to the new fuel pump installation. Now I started to replace parts:
-new battery (existing one was 5 years old anyway)
-new fuel pump (already mentioned)
-new fuel sending unit relay
-fuel filter
-MAP sensor
-PCM (flashed to my VIN)
-Ignition module
-Checked Pass Key fuses
Another strange issue - sometimes my driver side window works, somethimes not - same with my driver side power seat, however the passenger power seat works fine. Seems electrical or maybe PASS KEY related. Does this sound like a ground short somewhere? Buss grounds maybe? Pep Boys cannot find anything electrical wrong with the car. Completely at a loss on this one.

I have a 1995 SE. I was having problems along the same lines. My car left me standign 3 times in one day. Finally took it to a garage. They had it for about 2 weeks trying to get the car to FAIL. They said it started every time. I had them clean the grounding wire from the battery to the chassis. After that - I did not have any problems for a few days. What was happening was my door locks would not work and when they were not working, my gas pump would not work either. This was becoming a BIG pain. My thought was a bad gground somewhere - BUT WERE?! I decided to join GM Forum and then I read the electrical section at which I found people having similar problems. To cut to the chase........you may want to check your GROUND BUS. Mine is located close to where my left foot sits in the drivers seat. I understand there may be one on the right also. I had to lift my rug up, pull up the door trim plastic, remove the metal clips to get to my Ground Bus. It'* where all the grounds are connected onto a metal strip. I had to pull all the wires off, clean them (used a brass brush), pulled out the metal bus and cleaned that, applied a diealetric greas to the connections and put it all back together again. It took me about 20-30 minutes to do all that. Guess what? NO MORE PROBLEMS. I wish you well and let me know if that was yoru problem. Now I can drive with confidence. What a relief.

Glad to hear your issue is resolved. Mine was the exact same problem - driver side ground buss corrosion. Seems to be a relatively common problem with these cars. Problem is - a lot of $$$ generally gets spent troubleshooting when the fix is so simple.....
