OK!!! SHE IS BACK ON THE ROAD. Going to pick her up in 10 mins!!! YEAH BABY! WE HAVE REINSTATED THE 89 BONNEVILLE! I'll post updates for any problems i might encounter, hope i don't get stuck or anything. First on road test in 3 months exactly. We'll see. Gonna drive around for a while, and see if I encounter any problems. HOPEFULLY NOT. Crossing fingers.

Oh, my lord. That, was a nightmare. I just got home from picking up the LE from getting new brake lines. So I go pick it up, pay them for their work and leave. I then notice a VERY spongy pedal, like pure air in the lines. But he tells me everything is fine and see yah later.
So I'm on a county highway, and so I get up to 60 mph, and then the speed changes to 25 because it goes into town, and i go to hit the brakes....feels like I'm stepping on a sponge, and the car is NOT slowing from my power very much, and only braking on the right front, and the left front not at all. So I drive over to my local dealership and ask them about what I should do and they were telling me that its bullshit that they bled the BACK lines and NOT the front, agreeing with my thoughts perfectly, and so the GM service manager, the guy I was talking to, told me to go back there and raise hell for then passing off an unsafe car!
So I go back down there, carefully...get out and notice that the right front brake is SMOKING because there is an air pocket in the caliper and its riding the rotor, but the left wheel wasn't even warm, the right wheel would give you third degree burns on contact.

So I walk in and tell them that it is COMPLETELY unacceptable that they gave me back my car in a VERY unsafe condition and on top of it, managed to ruin my set of $130 brakes! so then they come out, immediately hit by the unmistakable smell of burning brake pads and so then move the car over in front of the garage, jack it up and realize that the right front wheel is basically seized.

After hearing my claim, he proceeds to tell me off about how this is ******* bullshit, that my car is a complete piece of ****, that i'm white trash for owning such a car and on and on, and how I'm ******* him over telling him this is his fault *which i wasn't* and so then i told him, hey, you know what, screw it, i'll drive it all the way home, burning up my brakes, and bleed them myself, and so he goes, "**** it, you'll probably make a federal case out of it" (of which I'm mad as hell, but am certainly not that type of person). So he removes the right front wheel, staring at a smoking caliper, breaks the bleeder valve loose and nothing comes out, then took a screwdriver and attempted to push the piston back in and try again. He continues to attempt bleeding it and finally gets straight fluid out, seals it, then checks the other side while I'M putting the right wheel back on to expedite the process. Then after he got the other side checked and its ok, he lets the car down, and says "DON'T LEAVE, I'M DRIVING IT FIRST BEFORE YOU CLAIM ANYMORE HORSE **** ON ME". As planned, he drives it, and gee, no kidding its working again, so then I take it, and sure enough, its working fine, still rubbing, but now the car actually STOPS. So i decide to hustle over to a car wash in order to clean it all out to attempt to fix it. Well, just like i thought, it helped, it doesn't smell as much, and its not overheating as badly now.

That was certainly not fun. If you think this is bad, I'm actually leaving alot of stuff out, a whole hell of alot went on that I don't even wanna bring up. , truly. Including telling me that I'm just some lame *** piece of **** that doesn't know **** about cars (wearing my club shirt) and so then i tell him back that I've done every bit of maintenance on that car and that I know PLENTY about how it all works and that he needs to back off just a bit.

This all after I continually told him that I'm not trying to screw him over, just not thinking its FAIR to rip me off for the price he charged me just to do something SIMPLE, not to mention the fact that he did a shoddy job in the first place, (HE USED PLASTIC ZIP TIES TO SECURE MY BRAKE LINES without even undoing any other brackets, so now I've got to at LEAST do them up with some metal wire and tuck them a little higher.) For the price he charged me, this is all bullshit. all of it.

So now it stops..thank god, but i think the air in the brakes damaged my lines and my caliper, so NOW i've got to do a DAMN BRAKE JOB. UGH. Ohhhh, fine. I'm done. For anyone that read all this...thanks for listening.

there. now its been edited a bit. easier to read. And no, the dealer did nothing to the car, i went to the dealer to consult them. The work was actually done by a place called Reynold'* Auto Sales & Repair.
