Security problem
I have a 2005 Pontiac Bonneville and i had a bad ignition switch so i replaced it and now the security light is a solid yellow. Try to start the car and can only hear the relays kicking under the back seat. Tried the 10 minute and 30 minute procedure for the switch to read the key a good 20 times and still nothing. Is there something im missing or a bypass that WILL work?

A lot of people get them mixed up......many people call the lock cylinder an ignition switch.......
So, did you replace the lock cylinder, or the really did replace the ignition switch? Why did you replace the ignition switch? If you did the work, did you accidently move the exciter ring?
Did you replace it, or did a garage do it?
Since Your SECURITY light is on solid, a code is set....you need to have the code read, to point you in the right direction....most code readers only read "P" codes......you also need to be able to have a scan tool that can read "B" codes......
