West Coast Mini-Meet...continues in WA for a few days.....
He spent a lot of money having that trani rebuilt in Prince George a couple of years ago, just before a Bonne Meet. He had a 3500 rpm stall torque converter installed. It wasn't right after the rebuild. He fried the oil on the drive down to the Meet that year, so installed a cooler after that.
Too bad the warranty is up and he'* so far from that shop........I would shove it up their yahoos.

That guy fooked him for sure. And the mods never went on the car (wouldn't have caused it anyway, the GenV is just more efficient, not more powerful).
Kinda quiet around here with all the guys gone, but the meet continues with Pdad, 2000CadillacSTS (caddy-matt, my hired gun in the SLE last year at Woodburn) and Pdad.
They won't be back to Ellensburg until about 10pm PST, but John has cleared the pass and is less than an hour from picking him up.

Hey, there'* a guy in ephrata that I quoted to rebuild cueball'* tranny this summer, said it'd be around 1500 bucks for a performance rebuild, didn't ask about a stock one though. If you don't have a shop around there, it'* Mike'* Transmission'* in Ephrata. Basin Automatic in Moses Lake does good work too.
Wow what a bummer yesterday. Yeah the tranny just 'went' away, no noise or shudder. Was doing about 65 when the tranny temp climbed from 155-160 to 180, so I pulled into a rest area to have a look, noticed right away the cooler was cold but the tranny was hot?
Made it back onto the freeway and then it slipped hard and soon not at all.
Was hoping a flush would help like 2 years ago but when the shop dropped the pan there was needle bearings and chunks of steel
Fluid was not perfect but not burnt either?
Big thanks to John and Cole for rescuing me and keeping me out of a hotel for a few days. Tranny guy is awesome in Arlington, he has my trust.
When life gives you lemons you make lemonade, but lately its been a bit biter.
Oh well car should be ready by Tuesday and in the mean time the meet continues with no Bonne'* in sight
