Everyone who has seen my LED 3rd brake lights (done them for a different model cars also) has been pretty impressed.

That looks much better than I expected, theyre pretty bright. Do the LEDs have a purple tint to them or is it just the picture? youll need a couple more strips per side to fill in the rest of the floor. Also if you pull the leds flush against the board it will hold them straighter giving you a more even line of light. The pic in my avatar was taken in a well lit garage, but keep in mind I have LED strips in my doors too. I agree with corvettecrazy about the voltage issue. The best way to avoid overvoltage would be a voltage regulator, but if you dont want to deal with that you can just calculate your circuit for 14.4 volts. They wont be running at max voltage so they have some headroom incase of a voltage spike. Good work though. If you add more leds it will look good.

you have to understand that those lights can/do come on when the battery is at all different levels. SO if you have your car running on start up, that bulb will see near 14.5 volts. which... will blow a circuit if it was designed for 11.4
You REALLY need to look into voltage regulators ( LM 317 is an adjustable using 2 resistors) that way those LED'* do not see over their max voltage.
If I came off harsh, sorry, I just had a LONG day on little sleep and the project looks kind of thrown together w/o much research.
also note. If you cut the tips of the LED'* off and clean up the ends with some finer sand paper you will increase their distribution which will result in less spots.

I assure you it IS thrown together, but I also know what I'm doing, I'm formally educated in the field.
But yes, you're right about destroying the lenses to increase light distribution.
Phoenix:
The camera purpled them slightly, I have night pics taken, I'm going to download them and post them shortly.
I purposely did NOT put the LEDs flush so that they could be aimed individually to even everything out. This feature has already come in handy.
I doubt I'll be adding more, I feel it meets my "needs" in the area of pimp-ness.

Night pics time!
Through the window:
Inside:
From backseat:
Getting outta the car:
And what needs to be done next:
Are these side bulbs also 194s? or something else?
