I am getting about 22 mpg in my 94 ssei. How will your tranny build affect gas mileage and your speedometer readings?

The speedo wasnt off by much. The gears really messed up the engagement of OD and would not lock the TQ clutch in. I had a custom chip burned by GM Tuners (Sinister Performance) that corrected all of that. Now it shifts beautifully with a 1-2 shift that outstanding. Gas mileage went down though. Before the chip was installed, I was averaging about 12.5mpg in the city and 16 on the highway!!!. (only had about 1600mi on the fresh motor though) Now that the chip is in I am averaging about 15-17 mpg in the city, as long as I stay out of the go pedal. I was getting around 18-20 average before.
