On the 94 when I had it, for the first 2 weeks after I put the HU in I would pull the face plate whenever I left the car. After that it became a PITA and I forgot about it.

On that note, and the lighter comment...
A number of years back (won't say how many or y'all will think I'm old), my only car at the time was broken into. Nothing to steal (cheap factory radio), but there was a lighter in the console. Buggers used the lighter to burn the faceplate of the radio and some spots on the dash before it got too hot. Then they dropped the hot lighter on the floor where it melted a small spot there. My only thought was that maybe one of the bastids got burned.

That sucks mos......I left a door mat for the thiefs at my house.....left my door'* unlocked....$3000+ of stuff stolen from me........over 200 cd'*, my sub, a digital camcorder w/my honeymoon vid in the bag.....misc. other stuff.....wanna talk about mad
