Vehicle: 2004 Buick Regal LS (3800 Series II, V6)

If anyone can identify the part below that needs replacing it would be very much appreciated. If you look closely its that small thin tube that has broken off. It came to my attention when changing the coolant thermostat. A part # or area to look in RockAuto is acceptable as well since I'm pretty much baffled on this one.

A little hard to tell from your pictures, but looks like a vacuum line running to the fuel pressure regulator. I am not sure if you can buy that as an assembly, but you can purchase some stock vacuum line from any parts store (comes in a roll, sold by the foot) and just hook it up to both of the ports the existing line is hooked up to. Those plastic vacuum lines tend to crack.

I think it is the vac source line to the purge solenoid.....just dig out the plastic piece out of the rubber housing.....get a short piece of plastic tubing, to stick back in there and join the two plastic pieces with a short piece of vac line.....

Or take a little trip to your local yard and take one off a motor.....

Good luck with that. Do you know how many times I've tried pulling those vac fittings? I stopped trying and just got brand new fittings to jury rig from the HELP section at Autozone.

Agree with MIke, just take the part you need into somewhere like AutoZone or Advance Auto, and show them what you need, it should be in the HELP section as Mike mentioned.

If the small thin tube is broken off in the soft rubber connector, and you cannot remove it, they will have that connector in the HELP section.
Just be sure it still reaches the area well enough to be able to use it without adding a little extension to the hard plastic tube part.

Mike, you have to talk to it it....be gentle......tell it all the fun it will have on your motor, instead of sitting in a yard doing nothing.......you can't go Hulk on it!

Thanks for the help guys. I managed to find the GM OEM, complete harness assembly, for around $25 on eBay. The vac source line was a good start. I tried to see if I could find a non-OEM equivalent part for cheaper but no luck. GM#24506671.

The only thing you really needed was the rubber end that both hard plastic lines go into, that goes for like 3.00 at a local auto parts store, you only needed the whole harness is the plastic hard line was too short to fit in the new soft rubber connector..
