Default Pulling the Bonnie off life support.....

Well, I've decided my 89SSE is just too rusty & has too many "issues" to keep it roadworthy but I'm donating as many parts off it as I can to a 2 door 89 Cutlass I found (so it will live on!).

So the gut-less Cutlass has the whopping 2.8 thats going to be yanked. Figured I'd rebuild the Bonnies 3.8 motor & trans and toss them in there. Where is a good source for parts for these? Having trouble finding any decent parts anywhere. Northern Auto parts has a rebuild kit for the motor, but thats the only place I found anything decent. Everything thing is pretty much in the same place, so I think I'll be ok as long as I take the Bonnies wiring harness & put it in the Olds.

I cant live without the seats, console & radio in the Bonnie either. Will the radio & steering wheel controls work in the Gut-less if I swap all the parts over?

The Cutlass handles like a 23 Model T. Am I correct in thinking most of the front & rear suspenion parts will interchange?

Thanks gang!

The radio will work with the steering controls if you get all the wiring.....however, I don't know if the steering wheel will mount to the Cutlass column.

The odds of the front and rear suspensions being the same and interchangeable are very slim. VERY slim.

The Bonne and Cutlass are different platforms, I highly doubt any of the suspension parts will work on the Cutlass.

Thanks!
Well, looks like the Cutlass is doomed to handle like a lumber truck, at least it will have a good motor!
