I've got a real problem with the anti-theft system on my SSE. no matter if the door is open or closed the Security Light never stops flashing!!! and if you arm the system and close the door the light never goes out till it runs the battery dead! what should i start checking? any sugestions would be great!

Does your car have the tamper feature on the trunk lock? Look for a cable that goes from the lock tumbler in the trunk lid to a small electrical cable. If you have it, disconnect it and tell me if the light goes out. I had this happen on my 93, and I've seen two others do the same.

When I first bought my 90 SSE I had the exact same problem. I solved it the easy way, I just disconnected the security module. It'* under the dash just left of the radio.

If the trunk tamper is what'* broken, simply disconnect that. The light will go out, and the system will still work.

I had the same problem with both of the bonnies I've had- on the 91 that light came on after I got somthing from the trunk- I'm thinkin that I'll check the wire, and re-connect.
