Here is a before and after from front sides....
Keep in mind this painted one has a before pic , first pic on post 1...
It deff looks way better....
I know unless I strip and sand the others they won't look as good, but for now they will look good enough, the car needs a paint job before long as is, if I make the trim look too good the rest of the car will look shitty, lol

Decided to put the finished piece back on, and it was way harder putting the rear one back on, it pops down a bit and slides under some other weather stripping, and in doing so I scratched the cars paint a tad under where the trim rests, so you can see it if you look hard enough, and it is now a spot for rust, also scratched the trim I just painted, man trim work is frustrating!
I can tape around the areas, and hit them with a little gloss to slow any future rust from happening.
What gets me is the paint on the car and trim match almost perfectly, and if not for the scratches I'd feel like eventually this will turn out well, but now I am worried when I put the other 3 on, once I get done with them.

So many little things on this car drive me nuts being a perfectionist, I overlook so much, but the car overall is a solid car, and I love it, I just wish I could restore it to showroom shine and brand new condition all over...

I learned one thing, if you do this trim job yourself, DO NOT cut off the plastic on the lower/bottom of the trim it is close to 1/8" and it will make your trim not come down ss far as it used to, it looks funny, but for now I'm going to deal with it.
Cannot get the VEC to give me my unemployment for the 3 weeks my plant is partially shut down, and I am not sure if I am getting the stimulus, so that may be 3 weeks with no pay, and 4 weeks total before I see a check...
I went ahead and heated and stripped all the rest of the trim, then wire brushed it with my Dremel, then sanded and painted it, it will do for now..
I'll get pics ASAP.

Well, got them on, seeing them in the sunlight I see how they look kinda shitty, the rubber trim got cut a bit while I was scraping off the plastic, so that looks crappy...
The paint scratches SO easily!
Putting on the front driver side I attempted to remove the in channel Weathertech window guard that I just bought and installed last month, and a corner breaks off...
So I found if careful I can slide it on with it installed...

Ultimately I wish I never wasted money on spray paint, or the time trying to do this, if I had known what I know now I'd have g;ad;y bought each trim for 80.00 each...

Just wanted to say Weathertech is an awesome company, I told them about my dillema, and they said in 5 to 7 days I should have a new window guard for my driver side in 5-7 days, I told them my 30 days for returns was up, but they still dd what they did not have to do, they helped me not have to spend another 50.00 because you have to buy them in pairs.
Highly recommend this company, and they will get more of my business, by Winter next year I am deff getting 4 floor mats, I have to get them cut to fit though, as they do not have exact fit for my car..

Got my drivers side replacement window guard from Weathertech today, I open the box and what do I see.....
A driver side front, and a passenger side front replacement, they sent me both so now I have a spare for the front passenger side, that is a 50.00 set..
Love Weathertech!

Here we go, on my rear passenger side I scratched the paint under the trim a tad, back towards the back side of the trim, used the touch up paint and it looks much better, I looked for every little tiny nick in the paint and touched it up..
Considering how bad my rear passenger trim looked I'd say it is an improvement.
