Welcome to the forum, I think this may be the first Solstice here.

I always had to have someone drive a Solstice into the garage for me, because I couldn't operate the clutch....my knee would hit the hush panel/steering wheel.....But we had a customer who was 6'3" who had no problem....

They were a nice little car.....liked the manual top.....only problem I ever found with the vehicle, was the rear end making noise(clunk).....

Also a shudder/groan from rear end on turns in parking lot.....

Also, I seem to remember a recall on the rear end pinion seal....

Also, replaced more cup holders from people leaning on them.....

And you had to be a contortionist, to access the center console while driving......

And forget about trying to make out with someone in the car....unless you had the top down and you were on the same side...

Thanks Mike,
Too bad not other Solstice here , I was in a Solstice forum but before I could decide to support the forum, I like to get to know it first before I give money, they decided to cut off all the pictures in a strong arm move. Not the kind of response that works with me, in fact just the very thing that moves me to never join. I like to chat with other car guys and we all love our babies and we are passionate about it even if it'* an Edsel , no offense Edsel lovers, just not my cup of tea. Maybe I will attract other Solstice owners that have grown tired of the Solstice forum, enough of that no sour grapes !
Regards William

Greeting Tech II ,
Ha! Ha! Ha!, Yeah they are a little cramped here and there but fun to drive , get good gas mileage and really smooth on the open road. Mine is an automatic, I'm 6 foot , fits me like a glove and there is a way to get in and out that you learn after you own one. Duck soup with the top down! I bought this one from a GM tech and have no trouble with the rear end, the right oil change on the rear end fixes that from what I understand. I guess all the little problems went away real quick with this one. Yeah cup holders not well thought out but I found a fix for that.

Shoot me a PM, I'm curious as to what this other forum is that you speak of.

DDM Works makes a replacement panel that goes around the parking brake and it has the cup holders made into the new panel. Looks like it came from the factory that way doesn't it.
