1997 Bonneville SE 204,000 miles. I need help. Recently after driving more than enough to reach normal operating temperature then turning off engine and having it sit for about 15 minutes and restarting, it starts immediately as it always has except now the rpm suddenly falls so low that it cannot stay running. I try again and it starts and stays running. This happens every time in the situation I described. First start of the day is fine.
Sure would appreciate some help.

How many miles on the spark plugs?
How many miles on the ignition control module?
Are you able to check fuel pressure?

CathedralCub,
204K bought new
4000 on plugs and wires
Module is the original
Haven’t checked fuel pressure yet. My thoughts on that was that it runs fine any other times. But that’* a layman’* thinking.
I’ve replaced the Idle Control Valve, the MAF 18 months ago and the coolant temperature sending unit 4000 miles back (considering it seems to be temp related to me). I removed the throttle body and did a thorough cleaning as well as the MAF. Replaced al vacuum lines I could find in the engine compartment.
