While I was working on my car I noticed my terminals were a bit rusted, I can clean the negative cable with my dremel and a wire blush attachment.
The positive cable terminal however was so corroded that when I tried to tighten it up it cracked open.
I am trying to decide if I should go AC Delco and replace the full cable, or if I just get a cheap terminal end and cut the wires from the old terminal.
If I am better off just replacing the whole cable, then should I go AC Delco and get the original one my car came with, which is the one with the cover on the terminal?

AC Delco has a professional version, which pretty much looks like the OE cable, just minus the plastic cover over the terminal. It would cost me 44.00 shipped.

I am all for saving money, even though I like to go with OE replacements as much as I can.
If cutting the wires from the ole terminal, and just using a standard terminal will suffice, then I'll go that route.
I see 2 ones that look like they may work, not sure if the 2 wires are too big for the terminal though, I see a 3-way terminal, no 2 way terminals though.

Screw it, I went to Advance Auto and got a basic terminal, also got the corrosion resistant pads, and a small thing of grease for the terminals, spent under 8.00, so I treated myself to a Wendy'* Baconator, lol
I decided against the OE wire because I located where the one wire went to the fuse box, but I seen the other disappear into a wire loom, so I said screw it.
Good news is the car ran smoothly after all the work I have done to it recently.

I almost did not have enough wire to hook up the new terminal, I wish I could have un-crimped the old terminal, but I had to cut the wire.
Under 8.00 terminal and it is good to go, covered the terminals with a little terminal grease and called it a day, starts up and batt voltage reads the same as it did before.

Was a brass terminal available? Brass are really good quality!

Baconator, fries, and a Sprite, I had Rootbeer at home.

I did not see a brass one, if this one ever has issues I'll get a brass one, I put a lot of terminal grease on the terminals, and used the anti-corrosion pads underneath them..
