Default Computer 'plug-in terminals' on bottom of rocker panels.....

What in the world are the 4 plug-in terminals (2 on right side,2 on left side)tucked away on the very bottom of the rocker panels used for??[my wife was first to notice them and told me they were there],.....I didn't have an answer for her as to just what they are used for?!?
