08 GXP random slow crank/no start
OK, I reread the whole thread.....
You have a new battery, and the connections at the battery were checked by you.....
You say when you attempt to start, all you hear is a click.....
My question is, where is the click coming from? Is it coming from the starter solenoid, the starter enable relay(located in underhood fuse block), or somewhere else? That has to be determined.....
Is the neg battery cable ground a good, clean connection?
Are the connections at the starter clean/tight?
OK, you have a PK III security system......when you turn the key to on(don't crank), observe the SECURITY light....Does it go out after 3-5 seconds? If it doesn't you have a security problem.......
Next, put your finger on the starter enable relay...have someone turn the key to crank......you should "feel" the relay click....if it doesn't, this circuit has to be checked out...
If it clicks, that still doesn't mean it'* ok......you can verify it by checking for power(use a test light) at the 40A starter fuse(fuse ok?)...it should only have power when the key is in the crank position....
If it doesn't light, and the relay clicks, try swapping out that relay with another one...if it still doesn't light, you could have a UBEC problem(fuse/relay block).......make sure all the bolts(in some cases they are Torx) in the underhood fuse block are tight......
Next, attach a grounded test light to the starter solenoid terminal with the purple wire........If the test light, LIGHTS, when the key is in the crank position, and it doesn't turn over, you need a starter....
If it doesn't light, there is an open circuit between the 40 A fuse and starter solenoid, or a UBEC problem......
If these steps do not fix the problem, you will need access to a scan tool that can read not only "P" codes, but also "B" and "U" codes.....
Good Luck....

I hear the click from the solenoid as well as the fuse box. I do also sometimes hear a low pitch click like sound when I release the key back to run. I'll have someone try and help me tomorrow with checking a few things you mentioned. Thanks
Also yes I checked and cleaned all ground ends. I do hear static sometimes in the speakers as well as the door locks and dome lights going crazy when I turn the key sometimes.
Has this car ever been in a flood? Is it experiencing a lot of rain right now or recently while having these issues?
Car starts! Tested wire from solenoid to the starter and it wasn't getting any power when trying to crank. Assuming I had a ground issue as well but must have fixed it when assuming that'* why my car wouldn't start. Voltage stays constant now on the in car display. Sound of the Car cranking as well as the speed of the start are the best since I bought the car last year. Thanks everyone for the help.
