Hmm, my diff pin was snapped, as well. But the tranny guy never said anything about the housing.

He was surprised at the mode of failure, and shocked at the incredibly clean and relatively good condition of the rest of the trans.

Flush once a year, boys.

No Zilla today. :(

Trans still being assembled today, back in the car tomorrow hopefully.

I'm going to go cry now right after I get over the idiot running Nitrous in the 92 SSE SC in On the Road and at the Track.

No Zilla today, either. Still building the trans. Not even going in the car until tomorrow.

Don finished building the trans today. He ended up fully rebuilding the valvebody afterall, just to be on the safe side, even though it looked damn good. He did alot of porting, plugging, and machining to get the shift kit fully installed, all options (some parts of the kit are optional).

Ended up also building a fully new Diff. Mine was just starting to show wear on about half the gears/teeth.

Trans is together on the bench, going in Monday.

He'* also bypassing my radiator entirely. Says it'* got too much debris on the ATF path. Same thing on both aftermarket and OEM external coolers. They're junk. I may try to flush the aftermarket for use on the 95, but they're installing a HUGE 22,000 GVW thermostatically controlled cooler up front as a replacement. It bypass 3/4 of the internal passages below 150° ATF temp.

All told, everything was beefed up, regardless of condition. EVERYTHING. Including all new valves of better design (quicker, more reliable), full shift kit, every option available, heavy duty torque converter (no stall change), and on and on and on. More power to the ground than a new OEM trans, and much quicker, firmer shifts.

Should be a nice setup. Oh, he added a little extra work to firm up my TCC engagement, too. Most drivers wouldn't like it, but he figured I was the type.
