Well I noticed my transmission whining today when it heated up; more specifically my torque converter :( I haven't got on it to much but I'm sure that stock transmission wasn't good for anymore power then I was making with my L67.

Time to get moving on the new trans.

On another cheaper note I think I need a wheel bearing

Well it’* time for a trans….

I tried to call Intense a few times today from the shop but didn’t get an answer; so I fired off an e-mail to Todd once I got home. But I’m still running a stock trans with 173k on the clock and I need a rebuild soon!! I plan on sticking with stock gearing after talking with Boosty and driving my friends lightly modded 04 comp G with 3.29s I feel my power band is more then fat enough for 2.93 and still great for freeway cruising.

I’m unsure what stall speed I should go with in the trans. I’m sure I will be on the strip some but I want something that’* good for around town. What stall is everyone running and how do you like it?

Also can I pick up a bunch of those bushings for the subframe? So they can be installed once the subframe has been dropped..

Just got done e-mailing Todd back about my transmission. Looks like I'll be going with 2.93 gears with a 3250 converter and Intense input shaft with other goodies. I think I'm also going to get a dyno tune too that night or the next day .

Boosty didn't you make 175k on a stock trans? I'm sitting at 173,3xx right now on mine I'll be close to 175k by the time I get mine

I had around 177K when I drove my Ei into the lot. Travis had nearly 300K on his Ei and you'll have about 175K.. Odd but I saw a topic earlier where a couple 4T60 owners that rebuilt around 100K were mentioning it'* great durability.

I need to get a post going on how long 65'* lasted.

Todd.. what about an output shaft on Ed'* build?

He has a 98 so it doesnt need upgraded. We still use stock output shafts in all of our cars including the 9 second race cars. If you are breaking outputshafts it is usually a suspension problem not a power problem.
