Ticking isn't nothing. It could even set off false KR if it'* loud enough. $700+ for headers is a lot in the realm of performance parts, they are high quality pieces, and there'* no reason you should have to hear them tick and flex when solutions exist that don't have the same noises.

You've misunderstood and now this is straying off topic into a debate.

The ticking is engine noise and will not cause KR. On with the topic pleaes.

The ticking is the SLP flex joint from everything i've read. Many people have wrapped theirs in header wrap to quiet it, it is not merely "engine noise" Not all of them have this, but it has been an issue throughout their production.

My understanding is it'* merely valve sounds manfiesting as a tick in the flex. There is no KR from it, that I know for a fact.

With other mods or any muffler louder than stock, you wouldn't be able to hear it.

driving behind silverbullet, his exhaust is "ticky". He wasn't thrilled when we told him that. Sounded like a ricer

I didn't notice any ticking when I rode in Seth'* car (smellbird). He'* got SLP'* but then again I was probably in too much awe to notice.
