Thrasher or Intense Trans
Sol I would go with zzp because they are closer and I think it is important to have access to the builder if you can. Once the product has to be mailed it might as well be in Tibet. But if you can get a intense unit through zzp then I would do that. They will most likely give you a good deal on an install as well.
Really unless you are going to push over 400hp any of the intense/zzp or mike dye units are just fine.
If you push over 400hp stick with Domestic Performance ...LOL.
I couldn’t help myself. (It was a joke)
Something you want to hear from the builder is that they have a balanced unit that incorporates bearings that wont prematurely give slack to the chain. Causes it to break
The limited slip is a must to balance the load.
For 400 and less you can get away with a stock cryo input shaft on the 4t60..but after that it is time to get better material.
Reds are the pack you want for street and strip use. If you have a trailer queen then blues are better for 1/4-mile abuse only.
Gearing is easy to manipulate depending on your needs.
Most shops get pre-done valves and this actually is fine if they buy the right ones. I figure with intense record they are using good valves. My builder uses the good valves but does them himself. There are some fluid flow tricks and a few other things people do but the real issue with our 4t60-e or 4t65-e is the unit being properly balanced for your needs.
Also other than the case and major hard parts the internals should be entirely reworked or replaced. For 4000.00 it should be basically a new unit.

Ty,
How much would a set of those street/strip clutches cost me? I could use a good set-I burn up the stock cluthes pretty quick.
Thanks-Jeremiah

Send me a e-mail at domesticperformance@comcast.net. We are building a 4t45-e for a 400hp Grand am and will be making some orders. I can throw in an order for ya.
