The AutoEnginuity http://www.autoenginuity.com/products.html scan tool will also do the CASE learn.

Would it be somewhat safe to replace PCM and then drive 3 - 4 miles to the shop for the CASE learn procedure?

As long as you don't go over half throttle (into Power Enrichment mode) you will be fine.

Rogue, is 8-ball your daily driver? I am curious about the city/hwy gas mileage it gets, and what I will be looking at myself as I mod, mod some more, and more and more...

Yes it is, I get about 20mpg although before my gear change (3.69 now) I was getting about 26.

I went to dealer and the service guy just went and got tech 2 and did case learn for free.It was no sweat off him took few minutes.
