speaking of trans mounts. my rear trans mount is busted on my riv. it has the bolt going throught the steel insert on the floating rubber that is horizontal. i there a way to make a solid motor mount for my rear and front trans mount.

I think its like $20-30 a bar. Maybe get together with other bonne owners around your area to go in on one and get it cut with a band saw somewhere. You only need a drill press with a couple drill bits. 1/2" hole, so use a 1/4" pilot hole before you drill the 1/2", and get a vise to clamp it to hold, or used a C-clamp and hold it with your hand, cause it will grab and try to spin. I just put one in Allmachtige'* '00 SSEi on Friday night, so you can get his take on how it drives.

and on my 01 SSEi, the fuel lines coming fom under the car to the engine, on top of the super charger arent solid metal lines , they're a ruberized plastic hose, so there is not stress on the fuel lines with a stock oil-filled mount movement, the solid mount mod is a performance mod, and also a good cheap alternative to spending the 80-$150 on an oil filled mount.

That is a very different mount than what'* being discussed here. In addition, making that solid may be the worst thing you can do. Your best idea at this point is to start another topic, and take photos of your engine bay and mounts so we can determine how similar it is to an H body.

Be careful with these isolators. They are meant to dampen vibration but may not be up to the task of sustaining force in tension.
When the engine is torquing in drive on acceleration, it pulls up on this mount with quite a bit of force.
The mounts that Rod and I use have a bolt that goes all the way thru so in tension, it is pulling on the bolt and not the rubber.

I have a hole running through mine with a bolt also, bar is only holding up trans esentially. Refer to page one write up.

We installed one on my 00 this weekend and so far its been great. My original mount was dry as a brick so it feels like a whole different car. The power to the road is there instantly, couldn't be happier.

the difference of engine movement before and after was HUGE. it went from what seemed like 3-4 inches of movement to less than 1 inch
