Ok, so far I'm not liking it. It'* too loud inside the car. I didn't weld the connections I just clamped them because I'm not sure I'm keeping it. Would welding it change the sound? Should I have bought a different muffler?

Aw c'mon Karl... I think your exhaust sounds great.

I wouldn't think that welding would make it sound any different. If there were a leak and before the muffler it might make a difference.

How much did you pay for the muffler and tail pipes? If you decide to go to something else, I'm interested.

Thanks Randy.... I just want it to be quieter inside the car. I PM'd Doctor Bob for advice... His muffler and pipes are SWEET!

I'll PM you if I decide to change it.... You got dibs!

I quieted down my interior by using home carpet padding under my trunk carpet. Helped a TON.

Thanks Will, I'll give it a shot tomorrow. I like the way it sounds at an idle and I love the dual pipes! I saw some posts on using the Magnaflow 12265 but you'd have to get creative with the tail pipes...

FYI, I'm shooting some pics of my install on the 93 SSEi for an interested member. I'll shoot detailed pics of the install from front to back and start a new topic so he doesn't lose it.

Thanks Will that would be great. What about my mount? I'm using an universal muffler hanger with a center rubber swivel hooked to one of the bumper bolts. Maybe it'* transferring too much vibration to the body?

Good question. I'm using the stock mounting locations for my Magaflow, but as long as there'* rubber in between, I wouldn't think there was any difference.

Know any members that have done a Flowmaster 80 on an SE? I'd love to use the stock mounting bracket but it'* too far out.

The guy that did my exhaust used the left factory rubber hanger and welded a J shaped rod to the left outlet pipe. He would have done the right the same way but I could not find it. Instead, he used a 2 1/2" clamp with a rubber strap mounted right behind the the tank.

I'm looking for the right hanger still. I'll either order another or take it off of the 89 parts car and have him weld another J rod and take that rediculous clamp off. the J shaped rods were also used to secure the cat and can be seen in the following pic before they were welded to the pipes. They are dangling from the factory rubber hangers
