when you like your car as much as we do sometimes its hard to find one that has been as well taken care of. That and we know all the little quirks.

Exactly macho mike

I've owned my car for 3 years when it had 70,000 miles, I have 129,000 on it now but I know that the last 50,000 or so miles have been all freeway and i only really drive hard once or twice a week for a minute or 2

Only thing wrong with my car is the abs lights on

Thats great if you live close by. But for the rest of us thats out of the question to drive hundreds or 1000 miles to have it installed.

I do agree though, you build up a personal trust in your car and dont want to get rid of it. I might look into this next summer, after the kinks have been worked out on it.

yes, give it about six months for them to get all the bugs worked out. Buy something else if the mod bug is really hitting you hard, like rockers or headers.

It'* true that you could probably sell your car and buy another for the $1500 difference. Or possibly do an L67 swap for cheaper if your time isn't worth anything. But the problem with changing cars is that most people have already done mods to their ride appearance and otherwise and it would be a lot of work to swap them over. Not to mention the sales tax alone on buying a new car is close to a grand.

Another advantage of the SS kit over other methods is that when you are done you have a ported blower and machined intake. You also have a modular pulley hub. These are parts you may have to buy separately if did not go with the SS kit.
