Thanks for the tip, Foghorn. It won't work in Park or Neutral currently, because of the problems mentioned in my previous post. Once I get my shifter working properly I'll make sure to do the CASE in neutral.

My '03 does the same thing...I start seeing Knock under those same conditions. Us old timers refer to this as "lugging" the engine. It'* normal I think. I wouldn't sweat it. Once you downshift it'* all good. Just don't sit there and lug it around all the time.....just my .02

Well, I can't really help but driving with the TC locked on the highway/interstate. It'* hearing knock 75% of the time when I'm cruising at 60 or 70mph, and that'* unacceptable to me. It needs to be addressed. I just hope I can track down the root of the problem.

Well let'* see if we're talking about the same situation then. I'm talking about going let'* say 60 and I want to go to 70......I start giving it gas...just enough to start speeding up quickly but not enough to force a downshift....that'* when I see the knock appear. Is this what ur talking about? If it is, then you wouldn't be doing that 75% of the time while driving down the freeway, right?
I might see it when I have to kick the cruise off for some guy going slow and then I'll hit resume to get back up to cruising speed and there'* the Knock....but that doesn't happen to often.

I don't recall ever having KR during this kind of scenario. But it has been a while for me since I have had KR.

Yes, it happens to me under these circumstances every time. However, I'm also getting KR with the TC locked when I have to go up the smallest of inclines on the highway. If you give it any throttle while keeping the TC locked, it gives you KR. Very frustrating.

Well it sounds like what I'm seeing yet a little worse though......hope you get it taken care of....I would lean towards the Torque Management being the cause....that max torque thing in the PCM they were talking about makes sense. I'm thinking mine is TM for sure...makes sense to me.

Folks, I've got the results of the PowrTuner scan I did yesterday. If you want the Excel file, post here or PM me with your email address. I don't know if there is a place I can host the file... if there is, let me know.

Remember, we did NOT do the CASE learn yesterday, so this is an indicator of how the car has been running for some time now.

Was the scan before or after your messed up tranny connections?

Tranny connector was already messed up during the scan.

Do you want the Excel file?
