I have two frams on my shelf at home, i think they might be the sureguard or whatever but i dunno if i wanna risk it. Previous owner had extras and gave them too me. After the first oil change/delco filter i noticed a lot less noise at startup (possible oil flow raised)

I heard the same thing but dont trust it. I think its to long of a time to go without changing your filter.

maybe you are supposed to take it off, drain it, and put it back on, but I agree, thats like putting in dirty oil!

i just use the Delco PF-47. heck its only 3 or 4 bucks.

But I think you would still have metal shavings and whatever still sitting in the filter and chance of it get ricirculated. Maybe it was just a market scheme to get people to buy more K&N products.

i use the fram tough guard...but now i think im gunan go K&N or delco....

I plan on delco, or a mobil 1 if i switch to synthetic.
