Intense pcm on the way!!
Well I made my last purchase of the season, after following both Rogue and SilverBullet with their pcm upgrades I have gone with Intense and ordered the 'standard pcm' today.
To compliment the higher shift points I also got the 1.9 rockers, springs, reatiners, and push rods.
This will bring a close to the first phase of mods and I hope the tranny holds out untill the winter

This is as far as I can go (I think?) without major tranny upgrades. Phase 2 will start with the tranny then move deeper into the engine with cam, heads, intercooler, lowering kit etc.
Again not trying to be the fastest just filling my own needs

Congrats there,
I'm going to do the same, I had a nice talk with Scott this weekend at our ILGPC mod/race weekend and he hooked up his laptop to my 01 and showed me some of his programming techniques. Along with Todd'* code and the other small handfull of ssei codes. No 01'* so he'* going to crack the 01 code for me and basicly give me Todd'* programming with the up dated GM code. his code is the standard for us. Talked about the numerious tuning changes they made for Todd, around 13 times. The software they use is pretty darn cool, I'm most interested in the box that said, turn off abuse mode. Bye, Bye Torque managment!
Getting my ceramic TOG headers on soon and PCM to follow. Can't wait.
PontiacDad'* plan is the same as mine

Good for you Pdad.
You're going farther than I plan to this year. I've stopped for now but you are following my exact plan.
Can't wait to see how much better you will perform at our West coast meet in Albany in July. Don't disappoint me.
I'll just be content for now with my 25 year old Firebird, as it is a consistent high 13 sec car and it will take much more to get the Bonne to that level.

PDad you will like the rockers I guarantee it. There are quite a few ppl running cams on a stock tranny so who knows it may hang on for a bit. I don't plan on doing a lot of track time but i do like to get on it on the street. The standard PCM available now is perfect for our cars. Most of my tunes have been for specifics with my car. I have been trying to combat some upper rpm KR for a while now and im hoping the cam will finally do it. I don't plan on going much beyond the cam and if I can have a mid 13 SSEi I will be happy.
However if the tranny happens to go and gets replaced with an INTENSE tranny, then i may go with the heads, intercooler, mp112? Who knows... I do know I want to keep this a daily driver so that will dictate a lot I guess.
Taylor and Pdad, your going to love the PCM. DHP may have experience with the GP code but I think Scotts setup is superior than changing code in hex or machine language or however DHP does it. Its a lot harder to make mistakes with Scotts setup and I think he has the experience when it comes to Bonnevilles, their tuning, and their PCM'*. in fact we found a lot of problems in SSEi code that dont exist in GP'* such as dual limiters (fuel AND timing). I'm sure you will be happy with it.
INTENSE PCM'* have been selling so well that it surprised Scott and I think he is open to doing other SSEi PCMs such as 96-99 as well. This will open a whole new world of performance for that gen. Imagine a lighter car with the kind of power we are capable of.

I know what to expect and when you live in a remote part of the world thats all I can ask for. Shipping a pcm back and forth accross an international border is something I didnt want to get into and thats why I waited.
I dont really no where it will end either but I'm excited with this next upgrade. I'll be watching your cam upgrade and see what the tranny does. I'm mostly a highway cruiser but like to play on the weekends
