Thats stupid. Is there any way to turn it off or not have your wheels spin?

Instead of buidling a transaxle that can handle the HP genereated from our cars GM took the cheap route and programmed the computer to just pull timing (or even fuel) at points they felt was unsafe for the engine or transaxle. This is called torque management and I believe a lot of it is tied into the stabilitrak system. For example at 5000 rpm out of nowhere I pick up about 4-5 degrees of KR. On stock programming this would drop me to 10 degrees of timing but with the new programming my initial timing is much higher so when it pulls the 4-5 im down to 15.

I think that just "disabling" torque managament is also going to entail disabling the stabilitrak system (my opinion) but its my feeling is thats what the traction control button should do, turn it all off for those that want the power. I can understand GM'* point of view on this but they should have just done it right the first time. Everyone else'* traction off MEANS traction off, not traction delayed.

Just wanted to update everyone on the INTENSE PCM. After tweaking it a bit more I can honestly say that the car is the best it has ever been. 1st gear is a beast, and second gear is just plain awesome. My 02s seem to have settled around 940 and the KR is very minimal. Kendra doesnt like to drive it anymore, she thinks its no fun because it gets to the speed limit way to fast. You can't floor it in town without being instantly at 50 or so.

If your modded and have an 00+ SSEi you NEED a modified PCM and I HIGHLY recommend INTENSE'*. It will wake your car up like nothing else and makes the car a BLAST to drive.

I know im heavier than the GPs but I think I can make a decent reprisentation for the SSEi'* at IDDV. I can't wait until Friday

i'll post the 1/4 times and hopefully get a chance to get to the dyno next week.

What did you have tweaked?
....so is it really the standard Intense PCM or a specially modified version?

Tweaked some of the fuel enrichment, shift points, shift times, and MAF tables (found an interesting anomoly in GM'* MAF tables in the upper RPMs). When my car is fully tuned to my mods, that PCM will become the standard PCM for 00'*.
