Doc, not even looking at all the 'start-click-vroom' mumbo jumbo......that sig is looking cool as hell! Get that thing down here and lemme see it!

I'll probably be having surgery later this month, and I'll have ALOT of time on my hands (maybe 3 weeks off work).

We could make some cool vids for Allmachtige to watch

Agreed. Don't neglect your sleep. People do things they normally wouldn't do due to lack of sleep. Keep your head about ya!! Can't wait to hear/see that beast!!!!

Ooooh I'm so pissed. Today was so...AHH! So the engine is ready to start but we need to check for oil pressure. It is 11am. So I crank then engine watching the oil gauge..crank crank crank and nothing, no pressure. Anyway this goes on for hours where we charge the battery, try again, play with some hoses, prelube the engine THREE times and try cranking again and still no pressure. It is 4pm. He finally goes in and sits down to think about how he put the thing together. He'* looking at a blowup of the oil pressure spring and he says "Hey Jason, *points at the spring* is this how it looked when you pulled the engine apart?" I said "Uh...yea. why, is that not the way you put it in" He says "no, i didn't." HOLY ****! You friggin moron, how about looking at the schematic if you're confused on how it goes together! So I pull the oil filter housing off and rearrange the spring the right way. Plug it all together and start it, BOOM oil pressure is perfect. God damn moron. Now I'm ready to bleed the brakes and get it on the road. All of a sudden he'* tired and wants to finish tomorrow. 20min of his time was too much, bastard. So anyway he goes inside and I head to the store to buy more brake fluid and oil for the oil change. I decide on the way to stop by the house and pick up my wife so she can drive one car back and I can drive mine. I get home and she tells me "Ott (engine guy) called and I asked "So how much does he owe you?" He says "Oooh I dunno I haven't really added up everything yet. I mean I know I volunteered my time to install the engine but when I'm spending all this time on it I have to start charging." HOLY CRAP! Me and my wife were there when he told us he'd help install it for FREE because he ended up charging $1500 more than expected and that dug into the reinstall funds. He never turned a wrench on the install, I did it ALL myself he just gave advice and let me use his tools. I'm not paying a dime because he volunteered his time to help install it! So tomorrow I'm going to act like everything is cool and find a time to back it up and simply drive away. Am I so wrong? Aight so thats the short story. Anyway other than the oil thing the car is perfect. Runs great and sounds hella mean. I'm going to have video for you guys soon. The rebuild is almost done! I'm so excited to end this 12page "report" hehe. Anyway I gotta take a shower, let me know what you guys think.

I have spent the last hour reading thorugh your experiences, I get more and more impressed with this group as I go along. Even as a trained mechanic I have put off so much **** on my car for so long...only because the wife normally drives the Bonny. I have done so many mods for my friends and my boat (sidewinder 457 olds berkly jetdrive 18'). Man I have alot of respect for you taking on such a huge project(because it is!!!!). I think of it as inspiration. Thanks alot...
