He already has some type of aftermarket exhaust on the car, he just doesn't know what it is for sure. We're gonna try to identify it if we can. That'* been the least of his worries for the last few weeks, I'd bet!

Can't run the Gtech on his car yet. He has to go easy on it for the first 1000 miles of break-in.

BTW, I'm a bit partial to Magnaflow myself. Check the sig

Well it doesn't sound that good anymore. I was driving it around yesterday and when it sped up I could hear a sound like "CHACHACHACHACHA" Around 2500rpm so I immediately took it back out to the shop and we hooked a stethascope up to it and started poking around. On top of the engine to the front right you can kinda hear it when pressed on the head. Under that cylinder you can hear it pretty loud when its pressed on the oil pan bolt. I think its a loose rod cap but my buddy says it sounds exactly like the beginning of a dropped valve seat. I know the valve seats he put in (now I know) weren't put it correctly. He just used a mallot to pound them in instead of using dry ice and a blow torch. So this guy tells me he can't get to it for a week because he has "other paying customers". A pissed off PAYING customer is comming back with a problem with an engine HE built and he says he can't do **** for a week. He kept saying "Well when it left here it was in good shape." Holy crap, I babied the hell out of it. To him its just another engine he built, its his job. To me its my livelyhood and a car I'll have for many years, I'm not going to beat it up its first day! I could see the two of us ending up in court over this. He says it if IS a rod cap then the engine has to be pulled again! AND he claims that his warranty doesn't cover removal, so I'll sue his *** for that and have another shop do the work. I'm so pissed I can't even type straight. I'll be on later with more updates.

That'* no good. Hope it is easily fixable and he covers it under warentee. You paid for a good working engine. If the valve seat is messed up you didn't get that and therfore there is no need to pay (or need to get reimbursed).

And what'* this about other paying costumers????? Wouldn't that be you?

OK, ROAD TRIP.. well get a Bonneville tied to anything and everything we can get a rope around on his body and just let them pull him apart on TCC drag (no gas pedal) and see how long it takes him to agree....

Haha, just kidding... maybe a Bonne barricade tho? :?
