Hey I am not sure on which on you are looking for. About a week ago I was looking to upgrade the spark in the car too...come to find out you really don't need it. The oem one is a hot spark. Hope this helps if not some others will chime in.

Only thing MSD has aftermarket for our cars is the MSD coil packs. They provide a hotter spark, but in your situation being stock, the stock coils should do you fine.

The MSD2 and MSD4 will both pass emissions, but I don't know if they carry the certification. Neither will add power to an L36 without alot of supporting mods.

The 8224 MSD coils are a direct bolt-on and will provide a slightly hotter spark, resulting in a smoother idle and slightly increased mid-range accelleration on an L36.

FWIW. F-Body guys are claiming .2 tenths in the 1/4 with the msd dis 4 and 2+ mpg.
It was tested at a track with a few passes inabled/disabled.

I'd still like to see a dyno though..
