Performance, Brainstorming & Tuning Talk about modifications, or anything else associated with performance enhancements. Have a new idea for performance/reliability? Post it here. No idea is stupid! (please use Detailing and Appearance for cosmetic ideas)

Can a performance PCM be the "wrong" one?

Sol has a GTP and DHP specializes in GTP'*.
INTENSE specializes in Bonnevilles.
There are some dramatic differences between the two.

Like I said, each has their own special tweaks, but overall, they all offer the same kind of things.

DHP doesn't just specialize in GTP'*. They have experience with tuning all S2 3800 powered cars.

Great, now I don't know what to pick. ZZPerformance is cheaper by 20 bucks but I know that sometimes cheaper is bad. I'm not saying ZZPerformance is bad. I like INTENSE but like I said before, ZZPerformance has more "info" on what its standard PCM will do. I also remember that Willwren (Bill) said to buy the PCM from the vendor that you plan on doing mechincal mods because the tuning is based on that. Well I was thinking about getting several mods from ZZPerformance because INTENSE didn't offer what I wanted.

But the PCM will be the first step. I don't want to switch PCMs to find the best performance. I might be leaning towards INTENSE, they do more with Bonnevilles than ZZP does.

DHP no longer does ZZP PCM'*. They split awhile ago. Zooomer now codes all of his own PCM'* using HPTuners just like we do, however he does not have the experience DHP or INTENSE does. My recommendation is for your Bonneville either get a DHP or ours.

Ahh, wonderful! You replied! I don't know if you read the entire thread but at the end I said I'm pretty much going to get a INTENSE PCM, although not this month since I just brought PEM'*.
